Altenew Golden garden

Hello friends,
hope your sunday is going great.I generally dont craft on sunday's unless there is some deadlines. But today i am not quiet keeping well so thought of doing some coloring to relax myself. I also wanted to participate in this months Altenew inspiration challenge as its one of my favorite combo of pink n grey.

So here is my card made with "Golden garden" stamp set.I love altenew floral stamps, they not only have some gorgeous flowers but also amazing leafs and fillers which can alone be used to make beautiful cards.
I stamped one of the filler stamps randomly to create the background and water colored them with zig markers. What a blissful feeling it is to color outside the lines, lol i totally enjoyed coloring this. During summer vacation some neighbors request a lot n send their kids  to learn drawing n coloring(i dont prefer teaching kids as it needs lots of patience which i  dont have) and i remember torturing them to color inside the lines,i suddenly remembered that now and  i couldn't stop myself laughing, hehe.
I did some patchy coloring with grey tones to create a smoky effect for the background.Though the coloring looks casual i took me 1 1/2 hours to color them, several layers of colors are added to get the depth.Again one of those card which was tough to photograph, the coloring have more depth in real which was hard to capture, after several tries with different backgrounds these were the best pictures i could get.

Vintage/Masculine style mixed media notebook for Colourarte

Hello ppl,
happy saturday.Today i am sharing a project i made for "Colourarte".I made a masculine style notebook in vintage/grunge style. This is quiet out of my comfort zone,as i always say masculine projects are not quiet easy.
So finally i tried using all those pretty wood grain papers for a project other than using it for taking photos, lol.I tried some tone on tone coloring on this one,i chose the same colors as pattern papers to color my project, the final result is quiet interesting.More details and tutorial can be found on "ColourArte" blog.
I myself feels strange sometimes but my mind work better when i make a total contrast project to my previous one.My last project was so soft, girl, n shabby n this project is totally the opposite-vintage,grungy n masculine.I know its always easy to make similar kind of projects,as the flow will be there and you dont have to clean up the space and take out new stuffs all the time. But if i make similar project i easily get bored, and when i am bored the result wont be that great, lol.Even though it difficult to change the mind set, clean up the working space, taking n keeping things in and out is tiring i prefer this way of working,i love challenges and work better in challenging situations. So how do you work on your projects??would love to hear it from you.

Mixed media card for Colourarte

Hello everyone,
sorry for being so inactive with my blog, past 2 weeks was quiet rough and i dint craft much and not in the mood to even make a blog post for my DT projects.I am alright now n back to crafting,so today i share a mixed media card which i made for "COLOURARTE"  few days back.
If you love mixed media cards, i have a super quick n simple tutorial over at "Colourarte" blog. Its always quiet overwhelming to see a finished mixed media card n keep wondering where to start as its quiet difficult to make it out from a finished piece. But actually its super easy once you get a decent background layers n good color combo, you have to just finish the card with few random embellishments. The trick is to use different kind of materials-wood,metal,cloth,resin etc together

So thats all from me today, see ya all soon with more updates.

Dreamy garden-Mixed media layout

Hello everyone,
today i am sharing the second layout i made for "Mudra stamps" with the gorgeous Lotus bloom stamp set.I wanted to make two contrast layouts with the same stamp set ,so for this one i used a white background with lots of colors.I loved this picture of the little girl walking in the garden,so wanted to create a dreamy garden background with lots of flowers and butterflies to match the picture.
I have used one of my favorite collection from Prima-Epiphany,the white base of these papers suits mixed media perfectly and those soft text prints gives an awesome texture. To go with the dreamy concept i used lots of die cut circles in different sizes. The background is colored using gelatos and twinkling h20's

I stamped the flowers with archival inks and sprayed some colored bloom sprays randomly in three colors and heat set it.Isnt the flowers looks so gorgeous?this stamp set is my absolute favorite.

Black n white Mixed media layout

Hello everyone,
today i am sharing a layout  i made for Mudra stamps.I wanted to try something different this time,so went with the black/white/grey with touch of gold n silver as my color scheme. Its quiet difficult to make something without adding colors, especially when it comes to mixed media its all about paints.Initially i struggled a bit,but i love how it turned out,it perfectly suited the picture.
I heat embossed the flowers with gold n black embossing powders n fussy cut them. The main idea of going with this color scheme is to highlight the flowers and how gorgeous it looks even without coloring.I have added lots of art ingredients in gold, black n silver for the background n to create textures.
Some close ups
