Beach theme altered monogram n box

Hello everyone,
i am back with another project. This is made for order based on the Beach theme altered bottle n letter i did last year. The box and the Alphabet both are handmade ,since i dint get the the same size mdf alphabet,i cut 5-6  of them with my silhouette machine n  stacked them up and the book type box is made with chipboards. I really love beach theme projects and have to admit that i put in a little extra effort when i make them :). I absolutely love the blue/green combo and i have used lots of beach theme wood/metal charms on this one.I am obsessed with texture these days, and have added lots of texture in this one with beads, crackle /sand texture paste, and stencils.

Water color card

Hello all,
i made a CAS card after a long time and this one is for this weeks Colourq challenge.I absolutely loved the colors and do not want to miss this challenge.I am  following  their blog for long time and every week i love seeing the color combos, samples n especially winners post.So much inspiration to use more colors than the regular ones, but never got to try one so far.So finally i made it this times as the color palette is absolutely fresh  n soothing. Here is my take,i tried a bit of water coloring for the background for the first time with Gansai tambi water colors, oooh  i love it sooooo much, the colors are so creamy, hope to try more water coloring soon. The butterfly die cuts are colored with Simon says and archival inks. The hello sentiment is from wplus9.Hope you like my card, see ya all soon.

Art journal cover

Hello all,
today i wanted to share my art journal cover i made.My first attempt was a total disaster, that was two months back.So i really lost interest n put in the corner. After using black gesso recently, i thought i would give it another try.Oh how i love black gesso, perfect for hiding all those mistakes,*winks*.So i coated the whole thing with black gesso n added lots of clay n metal embellishments.I added loads of texture with Prima crackle paste, graphite texture paste and art ingredients. For a change this time after adding black gesso for the whole thing,i sprayed a coat of distress stain silver(brushed pewter) and  then added the colors.I have used Mica powders and iridescent  silks blue n green.

I am becoming more  n more interested in mixed media these days so thought of having an art journal to experiment more with different techniques and mediums.Making a canvas or layout every time is not possible n expensive. So now i can experiment more without fear of spoiling the project, there is really no rules n restrictions when it comes to art journal right?

This is how it looks in real now, though i added lots of color, finally while adding white gesso to highlight only silver shows of more.It almost looks like black  n white.

But while editing the pictures, i tried color enhancement and surprisingly  it shows the color i added, aww i really like this effect more,i guess i will go and add some more colors now.So which one do you like more, first one or second?do let me know:).
