A vintage card for Noor designs

Hello all,
when i saw the Noor design team call i was super excited and thought of giving it a try.Though i am very nervous, i don't want to miss this amazing opportunity without giving it a try.You never know what is there for you in store if you don't give it a try, right?.

I decided to make a vintage card for this call,as Noor design dies goes very well for vintage theme projects. As you all i know i love using dies in my projects and noor design dies are one of my top favorite brand.I have quiet a good collection of them, and decided to make a die-centric project:)

The fabulous papers are from maja designs,I have added some pretty laces and flowers in my card.I have not added much embellishments as i don't to cover the pretty die cuts.

Noor design dies used:
Cutting & embossing border die
Cutting &embossing Fleur-de-Lys
Cutting & embossing die circle no:2
Cutting & embossing border die

All that glitters: Mixed media canvas.

Hello ppl,
i am here with my new mixed media project for Prima November PPP. I am not very fond of brown shades ,so i have decided to go with little of brown n more of antique gold n yellow, with lots of flowers n glass glitters from the PPP. The yellow is not as bright as shown in the picture, somehow i couldn't get it right :(.
I have used lots of my favorite prima resin embellishments and flowers along with Finnabair art ingredients and mediums, I have also worked with  bloom sprays for the first time and i just loved it.Its a picture heavy post  and i also have the step by step pictures in the end,so grab a cuppa and enjoy the pictures:)

Here is the step by step pictures n process:
To start with i applied a coat of gesso with knife, and once its dried i randomly sprayed some Bloom spray-Gold foil. Then i gave some texture with stencil and texture paste and also gold crackle paste. Then i used some washi tape here and there and prima chalk for the edges.

Once everything dried,i apples a coat of gesso again over washi tapes and other areas, and used some more spray in the center.

Then i  started planning my layout for a rough idea, without sticking them.

Once i got the idea where  i am going to place the embellishments,i  took them out and  worked on the background again.I added little bit of yellow acrylic glaze paint in the corners n more in the center.I  used some cheese cloth sprayed with gold foil spray for more texture in the center.
I have also used some prima chalk-Attic dust to make it darker in the center n corners.

Then i used gel medium and sprinkled some Gold mica flakes and gold rush glass glitters.

Finally added some black splatters to break the mono tone and to add depth. So my  base is fully ready now ,then i added all the embellishments using glue gun.

Hope you enjoyed seeing my work process,do let me know so that i can decide whether i can do this is future or not :) Happy crafting,

Design team call at Whimsy stamps

Hello everyone,
this is very special post as i am applying to current "DT call" going on in "Whimsy stamps".As you all know i love using cute images in my cards and whimsy stamps is one of my favorite as their stamps are so cute and full of life.I also love using lots of dies in my cards, and not to mention they have a great selection of dies.I also love coloring a lot as i am a painter basically. So i am really hoping i will make it,keeping my fingers crossed :).So far i have not tried for any manufacturers DT calls, but now i am trying to come out of my fears n just started applying,so wish me luck :)

A little about me:I have done diploma in fine arts and also done lots of private classes for paintings,mural,3d works and craft works.I love to explore and try different mediums now and then, and i can proudly say i have tried all mediums from Pencils to oil colors and now mixed media.I love paper crafts the most as it gives lots of freedom to my creativity, and now i am fully into it .I love making cards,scrapbooks,3d projects n mixed media. My style is basically shabby chic n layered, but i also love to make CAS n trendy cards and i can easily fit into any style of crafting.

Here is the card i made specially for the DT call,I have used one of my favorite  wee whimsy stamp Iris,i colored here with Distress markers.Papers used are from Maja designs,i have lots of dies n embellishments to give dimension n life to the cute image.

I would also like to show two of my recent favorite cards which really shows my style.
